Acura TL and CL Car Stereo Removal and Installation

	Acura Car Stereo Removing and Replacement
	1.1) Remove carpet insert from center console pocket. 1.2) Remove two exposed screws.
	2.1) Remove left side trim panel by lifting up back, then pull back away from front dash releasing all clips.
	3.1) Remove right side trim panel by lifting up from back, then pull back away from front dash releasing all clips.
	4.1) Remove exposed screws securing center console assembly.
	5.1) Pull center console assembly toward back seat releasing front hooks.
	6.1) Remove side fuse access panel and remove one screw.
	7.1) Pull drivers side under dash panel from dash releasing three clips. Pull panel slightly from dash. Release trigger on connector to disconnect before removing panel.
	8.1) Remove exposed screw securing center console side panel.
	9.1) Remove upper screw from center console side panel.
	10.1) Remove all other screws from along center console left side panel.
	11.1) Remove side panel by releasing clips. 11.2) Set panel to side.
	12.1) Remove all screws from along center console right side panel.
	13.1) Pull side console panel releasing clips, then away from dash. 13.2) Set panel to side.
	14.1) Lift gear shift trim and remove.
	15.1) From under panel, push control button assemblies up out of trim panel. 15.2) Disconnect connectors.
	16.1) Gently pry trim panel out of cavity from under car stereo.
	17.1) Remove two exposed screws at each side of diagnostic connector. 17.2) Remove two screws, one each from upper sides of car stereo.
	18.1) Pull lower trim panel from dash, disconnect connector.
	19.1) Remove two screws securing left side of car stereo to mounting bracket.
	20.1) Remove two screws securing right side of car stereo to mounting bracket.
	21.1) Pull car stereo from dash. 21.2) Disconnect antenna and connectors.

Acura TL Front Door Speaker Remove and Replace
	Acura TL Front Speaker Removal and Installation
	1.1) Gently pry edge of cover from door open handle cavity.
	2.1) Remove cover and set to side.
	3.1) Remove exposed screw.
	4.1) Push door handle / door lock panel forward to release securing hooks.
	5.1) Pull edge of door handle / door lock panel from door to remove from cavity.
	6.1) On back of panel at door lock switch, release trigger on connector to disconnect. NOTE - Trigger is located on center of one side of connector, squeezing trigger into the connector releases lock on connector to remove.
	7.1) Remove connector from door lock switch.
	8.1) Locate door handle linkage, notice white plastic lock on linkage.
	9.1) White plastic lock has opening on one side, swing lock away from linkage to unlock.
	10.1) Lift linkage up out of hole to release.
	11.1) Remove door handle / door lock panel and set to side.
	12.1) Below arm rest toward back of door panel, remove one screw.
	13.1) At top front edge of door panel, gently pry top edge of triangular panel from door panel releasing clip. NOTE - All clips release with pry pressure.
	14.1) Lift triangular panel up to release lower edge from behind door panel.
	15.1) Remove panel and set to side.
	16.1) Rear bottom edge of door panel, gently pry panel from door releasing clips.
	17.1) Work across bottom of door panel to front edge of door panel releasing clips.
	18.1) Release all clips up front and rear edge of door panel.
	19.1) Lift back edge of door panel up over door lock pin and out of window jam.
	20.1) Lift front edge of door panel up out of door jam.
	21.1) Pull top edge of door panel back for access to connector at top of panel. 21.2) Release trigger on connector and remove.
	22.1) Locate connector in wire bundle behind door panel, release trigger to disconnect.
	23.1) Turn back edge of door panel up 90 degrees. This will allow access for following steps.
	24.1) At back edge of window and side mirror control panel, remove one connector.
	25.1) Toward forward edge of control panel remove second connector.
	26.1) Remove third connector from control panel. 26.2) Remove door panel and set to side. NOTE - Passenger side door panel will not have all three connectors.
	27.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips.
	28.1) Pry door panel clips from door to remove.
	29.1) Slide door panel clip into opening on door panel ready for reinstallation. NOTE - When installing door panel, check for each panel clip to align with hole in door before snapping door panel into place.
	30.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door. 30.2) Remove speaker, release trigger on connector to disconnect.

	Acura TL Rear Speaker Removal and Replacement
	1.1) Gently pry edge of cover from door open handle cavity.
	2.1) Remove cover and set to side.
	3.1) Remove exposed screw.

	6.1) Gray plastic lock has opening on one side, swing lock away from linkage to unlock.

	13.1) Pull front edge of door panel away from door while lifting panel up out of window jam over door lock pin.
	14.1) Turn back edge of door panel up 90 degrees, this will allow easier access to connector on back of door panel..
	15.1) Locate connector at control panel with window switch. Release trigger on connector to disconnect. NOTE - Trigger is located on center of one side of connector, squeezing trigger into the connector releases lock on connector to remove.
	16.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips.
	17.1) Pry door panel clips from door to remove.
	18.1) Slide door panel clip into opening on door panel ready for reinstallation. NOTE - When installing door panel, check for each panel clip to align with hole in door before snapping door panel into place.
	19.1) When installing door panel, reach into door open handle cavity to align door lock pin into opening.
	20.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door. 20.2) Remove speaker, release trigger on connector to disconnect.

Acura TL Rear Deck Subwoofer Remove and Install
	Acura TL Rear Deck Subwoofer Removal and Replacement
	1.1) Gently pry left edge of speaker grill from rear deck releasing clips. NOTE - All clips release with pry pressure.
	2.1) Move to toward center of rear grill releasing clips.
	3.1 Pull rear speaker grill toward front of car releasing rear clips and remove speaker grill.
	4.1) From trunk side of subwoofer, locate connectors at speaker.
	5.1) Trace speaker wires back to connector mounted at side of speaker. 5.2) Release trigger on connector to unlock and remove.
	6.1) Remove one back right screw securing speaker to rear deck.
	7.1) Remove one back left screw securing speaker to rear deck.
	8.1) Remove one front right screw securing speaker to rear deck.
	9.1) Remove one front left screw securing speaker to rear deck. 9.2) Remove subwoofer from rear deck.
NOTE - This website is not about replacing factory Bose speakers. However, on rare occasions there are alternatives, after pricing the replacement cost at the dealer$hip. One aftermarket product available is a Kicker subwoofer, dual 2 ohm voice coil wired in parallel. The original Bose speaker is .5-1 ohm, with the Kicker subwoofer wired in parallel 1 ohm.
