Honda Civic Car Stereo and Speaker Removal and Install

Honda Civic How to Remove Car Radio

Most following these direction do so to replace the factory stereo with an aftermarket CD player. You can add an Alpine CD changer/direct hook-up with an adapter, this car stereo is a CD changer controller. There are three things to remember when replacing this car stereo:

  • If you have keyless entry, it will be disabled

  • Your dome light will stop working

  • Do you have the Factory alarm system? It is also connected to the stereo.

To remedy this situation you must keep the stereo connected in the car. We have found that it can be placed in the dash beneath the factory stereo spot at the back of the center console. The connectors will reach. There is some rewiring needed to have the aftermarket car stereo work properly. Although this is not a particularly easy process it can be done. We also suggest the Honda Civic installation kit. The installation looks cleaner, also purchase a car alarm, your new stereo fits everybody's car.
