Honda Element Car Stereo Removal

Replacing, Removing and Installing Radios 1.1) Pry bottom left corner of center dash trim panel from dash. These first few clips take some pressure to release.
Replace, Remove and Install Radio 2.1) Pry bottom right corner of center dash trim panel from dash.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Radios 3.1) Set parking brake and shift to low gear.
3.2) With bottom clips released, work your way up left side of dash trim panel.
Replace, Remove and Install Radio 4.1) With bottom clips released, work your way up left side of dash trim panel.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Radios 5.1) Release panel from dash.
Replace, Remove and Install Radio 6.1) Reach behind panel, locate wires to connector at AC controls.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Radios 7.1) Release trigger on connector at AC controls to disconnect.
Replace, Remove and Install Radio 8.1) Pull panel forward for access to connector at Emergency Flasher switch.
8.2) Release trigger on connector to disconnect.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Radios 9.1) Remove trim panel from dash and set to side.
Replace, Remove and Install Radio 10.1) Remove two screws left of car stereo.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Radios 11.1) Remove two screws right of car stereo.
Replace, Remove and Install Radio 12.1) Pull car stereo from dash.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Radios 13.1) Remove antenna and release triggers on connectors to disconnect.

Honda Element Front Speaker Removal and Replacement

Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 1.1) Gently pry bottom leading edge of speaker grill from door panel releasing clips. All clips release with pressure.
Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 2.1) Pry along bottom edge of speaker grill to release clips.
2.2) Grasp speaker grill edge.
Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 3.1) Remove speaker grill cover releasing remaining clips.
Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 4.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door panel.
Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 5.1) Remove speaker from door panel.
Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 6.1) Squeeze outside edges of connector on speaker grill to disconnect.
Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 7.1) Pull speaker wires from door for extra slack in wire harness for aftermarket installation.

Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 1.1) Gently pry top edge of side trim panel releasing clips. All clips release with pressure.
How to Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 2.1) Work your way down panel releasing clips.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 3.1) Lift side trim panel up to release two lower tabs from front dash panel grooves.
How to Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 4.1) Lay panel to side.
4.2) Release trigger on connector to disconnect.
4.2) Remove panel.
How to Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 5.1) Check side pillar for any clips not removed with side panel.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 6.1) Pry clips from side pillar to remove.
How to Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 7.1) Install clip into slot on side panel ready for reinstallation.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 8.1) Remove two screws securing tweeter to side panel to remove.

NOTE - For aftermarket tweeter install, you will have to manufacture a bracket to mate to panel screw holes and hold new tweeter.

Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 9.1) For reinstallation of side trim panel, grasp weather stripping and pull from side pillar.
How to Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 10.1) Release enough weather stripping to match the length of the side panel.
Replacing, Removing and Installing Speakers 11.1) Connect tweeter.
11.2)Place bottom of side panel into grooves in front dash panel.
11.3) Snap side panel into place.
How to Replace, Remove and Install Speakers 12.1) Push weather stripping back onto side pillar.

2.2) Release remaining clips on speaker grill and remove.
