PORSCHE Boxster Front Dash Speaker Removal Porsche Boxster How to Remove Front Dash Speaker Instruction 1.1) Remove Torx screws from speaker grill cover. 2.1) Lift outside edge of speaker grill cover up. 3.1) Pull speaker and grill cover assembly toward side of car. This will release hook at inside of speaker and grill assembly. 4.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect. 5.1) Removed Porsche Boxster speaker assembly. 6.1) Remove one screw at top of speaker assembly, be careful not to loose metal mounting hook assembly. 7.1) Remove two lower screws securing speaker to grill assembly. 8.1) Removed speaker. NOTE - We have heard that MB Quartz has a direct replacement speaker for this bolt pattern.
Porsche Boxster Front Door Panel Speaker Removal
Porsche Boxster Front Door Panel Speaker 1.1) Roll window down. 1.2) Open side pocket. 1.3) Remove exposed plastic screw. 2.1) Pull on door open handle and remove screw from cavity. 3.1) Gently pry bottom of small panel away from door. 4.1) Place fingers under bottom of side panel. 5.1) Lift side panel up to release. 6.1) Side panel must slide down to have top hook catch when reinstalling. 7.1) Gently pry plastic ring from door panel. 8.1) Remove plastic ring. 9.1) Remove exposed screw. 10.1) Gently pry plastic cover from top of door pull handle and door open handle. 11.1) Remove plastic cover. 12.1) Remove exposed screw from cavity. 13.1) Gently pry "AIR BAG" logo from door panel. Be careful, you my want to place a rag to pry against rather than pry directly against door panel to protect the panel. This logo is snug. 14.1) Remove exposed screw from "AIR BAG" logo cavity. 15.1) Gently pry bottom leading edge of door panel from door. 16.1) Work your way across bottom of door panel then up front and back of door panel releasing all clips. 17.1) Lift front top edge of door panel up out of window jam. 17.2) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam. 18.1) From opposite side of door, with help holding door panel. 18.2) Release two small connectors toward back of door panel. 19.1) Squeeze clip on door handle linkage and pull back to release. 20.1) Door handle linkage is secured at mounting hole. 21.1) Wiggle linkage from securing mount hole to release. 22.1) Remove courtesy light from door panel. 22.2) Remove door panel. 23.1) Check door for any door panel clips that were not removed with door panel. 23.2) Pry any remaining clips from door. 24.1) Install door panel clips to missing positions on door panel. 25.1) Remove four screws securing speaker to door. 26.1) Remove speaker and grill from door. Disconnect speaker leads and remove speaker. 27.1) Aftermarket speaker may be installed. You will have to cut or file inside lip for clearance of new speaker. 28.1) Anchor from plastic screw removal in above step may fall into pocket when door panel in removed. Reinstall anchor before installing plastic screw.

Porsche Boxster Rear Deck Panel Speaker Removal Guide 1.1) Lower convertible roof to this position. 2.1) On rear speaker deck, lift and twist 1/4 turn lock mechanism. 3.1) Pull lock mechanism from rear deck speaker. Repeat for opposite side. 4.1) Push rear speaker deck toward back of car. You may have to push rear window back to allow rear deck to move easily. 5.1) Lift front edge of rear speaker deck up. 5.2) Release trigger on connector from passenger side. 6.1) Pull rear deck speakers out from side of car. 7.1) Remove screws mounting speakers on slide bracket. 8.1) We found two screws securing slide bracket. There is a possibility of four mounting screws. 9.1) Slide speaker assembly up from guides to remove. 10.1) These are two 6 ohm speakers in parallel, resulting in a 3 ohm load.
