Toyota 4 Runner How to Power Antenna Removal and Mast Replacement Guide NOTE - Your power antenna motor must run with car stereo turned on or off. |

1) With needle nose pliers, insert tips into slots on antenna mast motor nut and remove. | |
![]() |
1) Turn car stereo on and
allow mast to run up. Pull antenna mast from power antenna while motor is
running. 2) Match length of new antenna mast against old mast. If mast lengths match, install nylon cable into antenna hole and turn car stereo off, feed cable into power antenna motor assembly. |

If power antenna mast and cable to not match in length. 1) Remove screws from inside fender well. |

1) Pull inside fender well
cover back to allow access to power antenna assembly mounting bolt. 2) Remove bolt. |

1) Pull power antenna mast assembly down from mount for access. | |
![]() |
1) Push plastic sleeve up to
allow access to power antenna motor assembly. 2) Remove all screws securing black plastic motor cover to power antenna. |

1) Remove black plastic cover from power antenna. | |
![]() |
1) Remove inside cover on
power antenna. 2) Remove broken nylon cable from power antenna assembly. |

1) Assemble power antenna
motor assembly. 2) Reinstall power antenna motor assembly. 3) Install power antenna mast and reinstall nut. |
