Acura Legend Bose Car Stereo, Remove, Replace and Repair
Acura Legend Factory Car Stereo Removal and Installation Bose and Non Bose Audio 1.1) Push top of gear shift boot down to release from gear shift knob. 1.2) Unscrew gear shift knob to remove. 2.1) Remove ash tray. 2.2) Remove exposed screws in ash tray cavity. 3.1) Grasp center console insert and gently lift and pull back away from front a dash. 4.1) Remove all connectors, remove center insert over gear shift and set to side. 5.1) Remove three screws along side panel. 6.1) Remove two screws along back edge of console and remove metal bracket. 7.1) Remove two screws along top edge of car stereo just below A/C controls. 8.1) Remove three screws along side panel. 9.1) Remove contents from center console and remove screws at bottom of pocket. 10.1) Remove screw at left side of center console. 11.1) Remove screw at right side of center console. *NOTE - removal of seat is not necessary, this was done by the owner before bring the car stereo to the shop for removal. 12.1) Pull center console back away from front of car and remove. 13.1) Remove screws securing car stereo trim panel to dash. 13.2) Remove screws securing car stereo to bracket and trim panel. Push car stereo out of front of trim panel.
