Cadillac Eldorado How to Car Stereo Removal and Replacement We no longer repair this car stereo. 1.1) Open drink holder cavity. 1.2) Gently lift back edge of gear shift trim panel. 2.1) Place foot on brake, Parking Brake is release automatically when shifting to N and car will roll if not on flat ground. 2.2) Gently lift front edge of gear shift trim panel. 2.3) Move trim panel toward back of car away from front dash trim panel. 3.1) Remove ash tray insert. 3.2) Remove exposed screw in cavity. 3.3) Remove two lower screws securing assembly. 3.4) Remove ash tray assembly and disconnect all wire harness connectors. 4.1) Remove two exposed screws under car stereo. 5.1) Gently pry control panel from dash, disconnect wire harness at connector. 6.1) Remove two exposed screws above car stereo. 7.1) Pull dash assembly from dash, disconnect antenna and all wiring harness at connectors. 7.2) Remove all nuts from bracket on one side of car stereo. Remove nuts from opposite side of car stereo securing car stereo only and remove car stereo.
