Cadillac Escalade Car Audio Removal and Replacement

	Cadillac Escalade Removing and Replacing Car Stereo
	1.1) Set Parking Brake, shift to low gear and move steering column to lowest position.
	2.1) Starting at top left corner of dash, gently pull dash trim panel from dash.
	3.1) Work your way across top of dash pulling trim panel from dash. 3.2) Work you way across bottom of trim panel.
	4.1) Pull dash trim panel forward from over steering column until back of panel is free from dash.
	5.1) Lift dash trim panel up over steering column and remove, set panel to side.
	6.1) Push down on two lock mechanisms on each side of car stereo to release.
	7.1) Pull car stereo from dash.
	8.1) Remove antenna and release triggers on connectors to disconnect.

Cadillac Escalade How to Remove and Install Front Door Speakers
	Cadillac Escalade Removing and Replacing Front Door Speakers
	1.1) Gently pry small panel to release from around door open handle.
	2.1) Twist panel over door open handle to remove.
	3.1) Gently lift control panel from door.
	4.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect. Set control panel to side.
	5.1) Gently pry door lock trim panel from door panel.
	6.1) When reinstalling door lock trim panel be sure metal lever mates to opening on back of trim panel before snapping into place.
	7.1) Gently pull top edge of trim panel from door.
	8.1) Lift panel up and remove from door.
	9.1) Remove screw at bottom of door panel.
	10.1) Remove screw from below arm rest.
	11.1) Remove one screw exposed from control panel removal.
	12.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel from door, releasing clips. Work your way up both sides of trim panel releasing clips.
	13.1) Pull door panel slightly from door.
	14.1) Reach behind door panel and release trigger on connector to disconnect door lock switch.
	15.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect courtesy light. 15.2) Remove door panel.
	16.1) Release trigger at top of speaker.
	17.1) Hinge speaker from door panel to release bottom of speaker.
	18.1) Release trigger on connector at speaker to disconnect.

	1.1) Gently pry small panel to release from around door open handle.
	2.1) Twist panel over door open handle to remove.
	3.1) Gently pry window control from door panel.
	4.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect window control and set to side.
	5.1) Gently pry door lock trim panel from door panel. 5.2) When reinstalling door lock trim panel be sure metal lever mates to opening on back of trim panel before snapping into place.
	6.1) Remove one screw at front of door panel.
	7.1) Remove screw from below arm rest.
	8.1) Slightly pull door panel from door.
	9.1) Pull top edge of door panel from door for access.
	10.1) Release trigger on connector at courtesy light to disconnect. 10.2) Set door panel to side.
	11.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door and remove.

	1.1) Gently pry top of side pillar panel from side of car.
	2.1) Pull panel back to release all clips.
	3.1) Lift panel straight up from dash to release two guides into dash.
	4.1) Side pillar tweeter is snapped into panel, release triggers around tweeter.
	5.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect tweeter and remove tweeter.

	1.1) Start at top of rear hatch opening. Gently pry trim panel along top of opening from car and remove.
	2.1) Remove entire panel across top releasing all clip and remove panel.
	3.1) Gently pull edge of side pillar panel from car.
	4.1) Push side pillar panel toward front of car releasing all clips.
	5.1) Release trigger on connector a rear window switch and disconnect.
	6.1) Release trigger on connector at side pillar mounted tweeter and remove tweeter.
	7.1) Gently pull edge of side pillar panel from car.
	8.1) Push side pillar panel toward front of car releasing all clips.
	9.1) Release trigger on connector at side pillar mounted tweeter and remove tweeter.

	1.1) Gently pull on panel around CD changer to release clips.
	2.1) Remove panel and set to side. NOTE - This does not allow enough room for CD changer removal.
	3.1) Lift arm rest cover. 3.2) Lift flap at hinge.
	4.1) Remove screws securing arm rest cover.
	5.1) Remove arm rest cover and set to side.
	6.1) Lift center console trim from center console starting at corner and release all clips to remove.
	7.1) You may cause cup holder cover locking mechanism to disconnect on it's own.
	8.1) Snap locking mechanism back onto panel.
	9.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect and set panel to side.
	10.1) Push down locks on both sides of CD changer to release.
	11.1) Pull CD changer from dash.
	12.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect and remove CD changer.
	13.1) With CD changer removed and center console open, this allows for access to side console speakers.

	Cadillac Escalade Removing and Installing Rear Subwoofer Enclosure and Bose Amplifier
	1.1) Start at top of rear hatch opening. Gently pry trim panel along top of opening from car and remove.
	2.1) Remove entire panel across top releasing all clip and remove panel.
	3.1) At bottom of rear hatch opening. Gently pry trim panel along bottom of opening.
	4.1) Remove entire panel across back releasing all clip and remove panel.
	5.1) Gently pull edge of side pillar panel from car.
	6.1) Push side pillar panel toward front of car releasing all clips.
	7.1) Release trigger on connector at side pillar mounted tweeter and set panel to side.
	8.1) Gently pry panel pin from side panel and remove pin.
	9.1) Unscrew upper "Rear Net" mounting screw.
	10.1) Remove screw and set to side.
	11.1) At front of side panel, remove one screw.
	12.1) Pull forward side panel from rear panel to separate.
	13.1) Pull back edge of side panel from side of car and release all clips along top of panel.
	14.1) Back to the leading panel, pull forward panel to be sure it released from rear panel and pull rear panel toward back of car.
	15.1) Released rear panel from side of car.
	16.1) Bose amplifier is mounted to top of Bose enclosure. 16.2) Bose Subwoofer enclosure is mounted to side of car.
