How to Remove and Install Car Stereo

Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 1.1) Open glove box. This will allow the front panels lip to have clearance when removing front panel in a later step.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 2.1) Remove one screw along bottom edge of dash on passenger side of car near center console.
Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 3.1) Remove one screw along bottom edge of dash on driver's side of car near center console.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 4.1) Remove next screw along bottom edge of dash on driver's side.
Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 5.1) Remove one more screw along bottom edge of dash on driver's side.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 6.1) Remove cover panel from fuse panel.
Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 7.1) Remove one exposed screw from fuse panel cover removal.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 8.1) Set steering column to lowest position.
8.2) Remove two screws along top of panel above gauges.
Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 9.1) Lift panel up that goes around gauges.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 10.1) Remove panel from gauges and lift from above steering column.
Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 11.1) Pull remaining dash panel from front dash next to steering column.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 12.1) With glove box open, pull entire front panel from dash releasing all clips.
Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 13.1) Dash panel will now set down and rest on floor of car.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 14.1) Remove three screws securing car stereo to dash.
Replacing Radio and Speakers, Removal and Install 15.1) Pull car stereo forward from dash.
Lumina Radio Removal, Replacement and Install 16.1) Remove antenna connector and release trigger on main connector.
16.2) Remove car stereo.

GM Wire Harness Diagram, Wire Color Codes and Pin Configuration Wire color codes and wire diagrams
IMPORTANT - There are two (2) yellow*, two (2) gray and two (2) brown wires in this harness. Locate the +12 volt constant wire first. Label it or splice to constant wire on aftermarket stereo first. Swapping yellow wires will cause damage to any aftermarket stereo. Check fuses if your unable to find +12 volts.
