How to Remove Lower Dash CD Changer and Bose Amplifier

Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 1.1) Pull side center console panel from console releasing clips. All clips release with pressure.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 2.1) Remove side panel.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 3.1) Gently lift center console insert up to release clips.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 4.1) Lift center console insert up, twist and lift over gear shift and set to side.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 5.1) Remove two exposed screws at top of opening from center insert removal.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 6.1) Remove two exposed screws in side cavity.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 7.1) Lift arm rest, remove pocket insert.
7.2) Remove contents from center console.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 8.1) Lift mate and remove from bottom of cavity.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 9.1) Remove two exposed bolts.

*Note - A piece of paper placed into 10mm socket will lock nut into socket for removal without dropping nut into cavity during removal.

Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 11.1) Lift lever arm.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 12.1) This will release connector.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 13.1) Set Parking Brake and shift to low gear.
13.2) Lift back of center console up.
13.3) Pull back from front of dash and lift over gear shift for removal.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 14.1) Place center console on ground to continue.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 15.1) Turn center console up side down.
15.2) Remove screws securing Clarion CD changer to center console.
Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 16.1) Pull side panels from Clarion CD changer and remove CD changer from center console.

Bose Amplifier Removal Instruction

1.1) From opening on top of center console, release trigger on Bose amplifier connector and remove connector.

Corvette Bose Radio Repair and Removal 2.1) With center console up side down, remove screws securing Bose Amplifier from center console and remove.

IMPORTANT - There are two (2) yellow*, two (2) gray and two (2) brown wires in this harness. Locate the +12 volt constant wire first. Label it or splice to constant wire on aftermarket stereo first. Swapping yellow wires will cause damage to any aftermarket stereo. Check fuses if your unable to find +12 volts.
