Lexus ES300 How to Removal and Install Car Audio

	Lexus ES300 How to Remove and Replace Car Stereo
	1.1) Gently pry AC vents from dash.
	2.1) Pull AC vent assembly from dash, disconnect connectors and place panel to side.
	3.1) Pry panel from below car stereo from dash.
	4.1) Remove two bolts (10mm) from top of car stereo and AC control mounting bracket.
	5.1) Remove two bolts (10mm) from bottom of car stereo and AC control mounting bracket.
	6.1) Pull car stereo forward from dash cavity.
	7.1) Disconnect antenna and all connectors to car stereo and AC control.
	8.1) Remove screws from mounting brackets securing car stereo and AC control.

Lexus ES300 Removing and Replacing Front Speakers
	Lexus ES300 Front Door Panel Speaker and Tweeter Removal and Installation
	1.1) Gently pry screw cover from door panel and remove exposed screw.
	2.1) Gently pry open screw cover in door open handle cavity and remove screw.
	3.1) Gently pry up on door open handle trim panel to release top edge.
	4.1) Gently pry down on door open handle trim panel to release bottom edge.
	5.1) Release door open handle trim assembly from door panel.
	6.1) Gently pry courtesy light assembly from door panel. NOTE - Be sure to feed this connector back through opening when reinstallation door panel.
	7.1) Gently pry leading edge of control panel up.
	8.1) Pull control panel forward to release rear latch.
	9.1) Release triggers at each connector to release control panel and set to side.
	10.1) Remove one exposed screw from control panel cavity.
	11.1) Gently pull bottom of door panel from door releasing clips.
	12.1) Lift back of door panel up out of window jam. 12.2) Pull door panel toward back of car slightly to allow leading edge of door panel to release out of window jam.
	13.1) Remove screws securing car speaker to door.
	14.1) Release this connector to have access and play in removing car stereo speaker.
	15.1) Before reinstalling door panel, check for panel clips that remained on the door.
	16.1) Pry remaining panel clips from door.
	17.1) Reinstall panel clips on door panel before installing door panel, be sure clips line up with opening in door before tapping panel into place.
	Tweeter Removal and Installation
	1.1) Gently pull top tweeter grill cover from door panel.
	2.1) Release tongue of tweeter speaker cover by hinging cover down.
	3.1) Remove screws securing tweeter, release connector and remove.

	1.1) Gently pry open screw cover in door open handle cavity and remove screw.
	2.1) Gently pry up on door open handle trim panel to release top edge.
	3.1) Gently pry down on door open handle trim panel to release bottom edge.
	4.1) Release door open handle trim assembly from door panel.
	5.1) Gently pry leading edge of control panel up.
	6.1) Pull control panel forward to release rear latch. 6.2) Release triggers at each connector to release control panel and set to side.
	7.1) Remove one exposed screw from control panel cavity.
	8.1) Gently pull bottom of door panel from door releasing clips.
	9.1) Lift back of door panel up out of window jam. 9.2) Pull door panel toward back of car slightly to allow leading edge of door panel to release out of window jam.
	10.1) Remove screws securing car speaker to door.
	11.1) Release this connector to have access and play in removing car stereo speaker.
	12.1) Before reinstalling door panel, check for panel clips that remained on the door.

	14.1) Reinstall panel clips on door panel before installing door panel, be sure clips line up with opening in door before tapping panel into place.

Lexus ES300 Rear Deck Subwoofer Remove and Install

	1.1) Gently pry up on rear speaker grill cover to release clips.
	2.1) Pull speaker grill cover toward front of car to release back clips.
	3.1) Lift speaker grill cover for access to center brake light connector. 3.2) Release trigger on connector and remove center speaker grill cover. NOTE - This does not allow removal of center speaker!
	4.1) With pressure, lift up on leading edge of rear seat bottom cushion at front center of each passenger's position.
	5.1) This will release seat securing hooks. 5.2) Hinge front edge of seat up to release rear bottom seat hooks and remove bottom seat cushion.
	6.1) Remove on bolt at bottom left of rear seat back cushion.
	7.1) Remove on bolt at bottom center of rear passenger side seat back cushion.
	8.1) Remove on bolt at bottom center of rear driver side seat back cushion.
	9.1) Remove on bolt at bottom right of rear seat back cushion.
	10.1) Lift rear back seat cushion straight up to release mounting hooks. 10.2) Pull rear back seat cushion forward.
	11.1) Remove one screw exposed on side panel from rear seat back removal.
	12.1) Pull side panel from car releasing clips and remove panel.
	13.1) Check side of car for panel pins left behind.
	14.1) Gently pry panel pins from side of car.
	15.1) Install panel pins back onto side panel. 15.2) Repeat these steps for opposite side of car.
	16.1) Gently slide your arm under rear panel from side to side, this will release panel pins securing rear deck.
	17.1) With all panel pins released, pull rear deck panel toward front of car.
	18.1) You now have access to rear subwoofer speaker mounting screws, remove subwoofer. NOTE - In most cases, this speaker sounds distorted at higher bass volumes. The foam surround connecting the speaker cone to the metal frame deteriorates. You most likely can find a local speaker repair shop that may re-foam this speaker for about $25. Be sure to have them check the speaker coil too.

	1.1) Remove screws along top of glove box opening.
	2.1) From under dash, pull down on kick panel releasing clips.
	3.1) Remove screw from left side under glove box.
	4.1) Lift back of door jam panel up releasing clips.
	5.1) Pull panel from front of door jam.
	6.1) Check door jam for clips that remained on jam, remove and place on removed door jam panel.
	7.1) Remove panel twist screw with fingers and remove.
	8.1) Pull side panel from car. 8.2) One panel pin was left in this picture.
	9.1) Pry panel pin from side of car.
	10.1) Place panel clip back on to removed panel.
	11.1) Remove one 10mm bolt at right bottom side of glove box exposed from side panel removal.
	12.1) Gently pry down on top edge of glove box assembly.
	13.1) This allows for glove box assembly to be removed for access.
	14.1) Pull panel covering CD changer toward rear of car releasing clips and allow panel to hang out of way.
	15.1) Remove one 10mm bolt from right side of CD changer mounting bracket.
	16.1) Remove one 10mm bolt from left side of CD changer mounting bracket.
	17.1) This will allow front of CD changer to hinge down.
	18.1) Push CD changer back to release rear hinge assemblies to release form mounting bracket.
	19.1) Release triggers on connectors and remove CD changer.
	Car Amplifier Removal Located Behind CD Changer
	1.1) Remove one 10mm bolt at bottom of amplifier on mounting bracket.
	2.1) Remove one 10mm bolt at top of amplifier on mounting bracket. NOTE - Be careful, 90% of the time I cut myself on sharp metal inside this cavity.
	3.1) Pull amplifier from mounting screws.
	4.1) Release triggers on connectors and remove.
