In the two pictures to the left:

  • Top picture shows a loose center dust cover.
  • Bottom picture shows a flopping center dust cover.

We find that a 3/5 minute epoxy works well for securing the center dust cover.
*Be Careful - do not allow excess glue to seep past the dust cover into speaker coil.

Bose Speaker Replacement, Removal and Repair In this picture the black plastic trim ring around the speaker is loose. Usually a slight tug upwards near the four corners where the screws mount the Bose speaker frame to the rear deck uncovers this problem.Removing the screw from the area that is loose and finding a longer screw along with a large washer works to hold this plastic trim down. DO NOT REMOVE PLASTIC TRIM!
