Mitsubishi Montero Car Stereo Removal and Install

	Mitsubishi Montero How to Remove and Replace Car Stereo
	1.1) At top of car stereo and dash trim panel, gently pry two screw covers and remove screws.
	2.1) Gently pry car stereo dash trim panel from dash.
	3.1) Pull right side of car stereo dash trim panel away from dash allowing access to connectors on lest side of panel. 3.2) Disconnect connectors.
	4.1) Remove four screws securing car stereo to dash. 4.2) Pull car stereo forward, disconnect antenna and connectors.

Mitsubishi Montero Speaker Removal and Installation
	Mitsubishi Montero How to Remove and Install Front Speaker
	1.1) Gently pry two screw covers from screw along back edge of door panel and remove exposed screws.
	2.1) Gently pry top edge of trim panel from door open/lock assembly, releasing top spring.
	3.1) Gently pull top edge of trim panel away from door releasing bottom edge spring latch.
	4.1) Gently pry control panel on door straight up to remove.
	5.1) Gently pry arm rest up from door panel.
	6.1) Remove exposed screw in side of door panel from arm rest removal.
	7.1) Gently pry cover from courtesy light at bottom of door panel.
	8.1) Remove two screws securing courtesy light to door.
	9.1) Remove courtesy light from door and disconnect connector.
	10.1) With pry tool, gently pry door panel from door starting at bottom edge and working your way along the bottom then up both sides of panel.
	11.1) Gently pull door panel from door, disconnect connectors and set panel to side.
	12.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door and disconnect.

	1.1) Gently pry two screw covers from screw along back edge of door panel and remove exposed screws.
	2.1) Gently pry arm rest up from door panel. 2.2) Remove exposed screw in side of door panel from arm rest removal.
	3.1) Remove second exposed screw from arm rest removal.
	4.1) Gently pry control panel on door straight up to remove.
	5.1) Gently pry top edge of trim panel from door open/lock assembly, releasing top spring.
	6.1) Gently pull top edge of trim panel away from door releasing bottom edge spring latch.
	7.1) With pry tool, gently pry door panel from door starting at bottom edge and working your way along the bottom then up both sides of panel.
	8.1) Gently pull door panel from door, disconnect connectors and set panel to side.
	9.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door and disconnect. See Speaker Phasing above.

Mitsubishi Montero CD Changer Remove and Replace
	Mitsubishi Montero How to CD Changer Removal (Instructions for removing pocket are same for CD Changer removal)
	1.1) Remove ash tray and set to side.
	2.1) Gently pry cup holder insert from center console.
	3.1) Remove cup holder assembly from center console and set to side.
	4.1) Remove two exposed screws from cup holder removal.
	5.1) Unscrew gear shift knob.
	6.1) Push bottom half of gear shift housing down to release.
	7.1) Remove on exposed screw on drivers side of gear shift knob.
	8.1) Remove one screw at back of gear shift knob.
	9.1) Lift gear shift knob and remove, set to side.
	10.1) Remove bottom half of gear shift.
	11.1) Lift back edge of center console up.
	12.1) Pull center console back from front of dash, you will hear two clicks when it releases from front panel. (Yes! These pictures were taken out of sequence, but the instructions are posted in order.)
	13.1) Lift center console up.
	14.1) Reach under panel, release trigger on connector to disconnect.
	15.1) Remove center console and set to side.
	16.1) Gently pry control panel from forward dash panel.
	17.1) Release triggers on all connectors to disconnect and set panel to side.
	18.1) Remove exposed screw from center console removal at bottom left of front dash panel.
	19.1) Remove exposed screw from center console removal at bottom right of front dash panel.
	20.1) Pull front dash panel from dash.
	21.1) Twist lamp base on to lamps to release. One at ash tray, one at cigarette lighter.
	22.1) Release trigger on connector at cigarette lighter and disconnect.
	23.1) Release trigger on lower connector at cigarette lighter and disconnect. Remove panel and set to side. 23.2) Remove four screws securing CD changer to dash. 23.3) Pull CD changer from dash, release trigger on connector and disconnect.
