Pontiac Aztek Front Speaker and Tweeter Removal 1.1) Remove T25 Torx screw at back edge of arm rest. 2.1) Remove T25 Torx screw below door open handle. 3.1) Remove T25 Torx screw above door open handle cavity. Note - Tweeter located next to screw in this picture is a previous aftermarket add-on and is not standard for this vehicle. 4.1) Place pry tool at back edge of control panel. 5.1) Push pry tool in under panel and pry up to release clip. 6.1) Grasp back edge of control panel. 7.1) Pull control panel back to release front edge from door. 7.2) Pull control panel from door panel. 8.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release. 9.1) Remove first connector. 10.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release. 11.1) Remove second connector. 12.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release. 13.1) Remove third connector. 13.2) Remove control panel and set to side. Note - Passenger side control panel has fewer connectors. 14.1) Gently pry top edge of small tweeter panel from door releasing clips. All clips release with pressure. 15.1) Pry down front edge of door panel releasing clips. 16.1) Continue prying down front edge of door panel releasing clips. 17.1) Continue prying along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips. 18.1) Continue prying up back edge of door panel releasing clips. 19.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel away from door to verify all door panel clips have been released. 20.1) Lift back edge of door panel up followed by lifting front edge of door panel  out of window jam. 21.1) Pull door open handle while pulling door panel from door. 22.1) Turn door panel up while guiding door open handle through opening. 23.1) Release door open handle, pull top edge of door panel back for access to back of panel. 24.1) Locate wires at tweeter, trace back to connector. 25.1) Release clip on connector securing wires to door panel. 26.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release. 27.1) Remove connector. 28.1) Locate side view mirror adjustment. 29.1) Behind edge of door panel locate connector for side view mirror. 30.1) With small flat head screw driver, lift trigger on side of connector to release. 31.1) Remove connector, remove door panel and set to side. 32.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips. 33.1) Pry door panel clips from door to remove. 34.1) Place door panel clips into slots on door panel ready for reinstallation. 35.1) Remove screws securing door speaker. 35.2) Remove speaker and disconnect connector. 36.1) With small flat head screw driver, lift triggers on sides of tweeter to release and remove.
Pontiac Aztek Door Speaker Removal and Replacement Pontiac Aztek How to Remove and Install Rear Door Speakers 1.1) Remove T25 Torx screw at back edge of arm rest. 2.1) Remove T25 Torx screw below door open handle. 3.1) Remove T25 Torx screw above door open handle cavity. 4.1) Place pry tool at back edge of control panel. 5.1) Push pry tool in under panel and pry up to release clip. 6.1) Grasp back edge of control panel. 7.1) Pull control panel back to release front edge from door. 7.2) Pull control panel from door panel. 8.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release. 9.1) Remove connector. 9.2) Remove control panel and set to side. 10.1) Pry back bottom edge of door panel from door releasing clips. All clips release with pry pressure. 11.1) Continue along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips. 12.1) Continue along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips. 13.1) Continue up front edge of door panel releasing clips. 14.1) Continue up back edge of door panel releasing clips. 15.1) Pry small panel at top back edge of door panel releasing clip. 16.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel from door verifying all door panel clips have been released. 17.1) Pull top rear edge panel away from door. 18.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam. 19.1) Lift front edge of door panel up out of window jam. 20.1) Turn door panel to release over door open handle. 20.2) Remove door panel and set to side. 21.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips. 22.1) Pry door panel clips from door to remove. 23.1) Place door panel clips into slots on door panel ready for reinstallation. 24.1) Remove screws securing door speaker. 24.2) Remove speaker and disconnect connector.
Pontiac Aztek Rear Side Speaker Removal and Install Pontiac Aztek Rear Side Speakers Removal and Install 1.1) Pry bottom panel from threshold along floor releasing clips. All clips release with pressure. 1.2) Remove bottom threshold and set to side. 2.1) Pry under edge of side panel at clip to release clip. 3.1) Along top threshold, locate screw and remove. 4.1) Pry edge of top threshold releasing clips. 4.2) Remove threshold and set to side. 5.1) At side pillar behind rear seat, pry under edge of panel to release clip and remove. 6.1) At back of rear side window, pry under edge of panel to release clip and remove. 7.1) At rear seat, seat belt restraint, lift cover and remove seat belt bolt, 50Torx. 7.2) Pry upper side panel from vehicle releasing clip, remove panel and set to side. 8.1) Remove screws from tie down restrains along side panel. 9.1) At rear door opening, pry panel from bottom of door jam releasing clips. 9.2) Remove panel and set to side. 10.1) Pry side panel from vehicle releasing clips and remove for access to speakers.
Pontiac Aztek Amplifier Removal and Replacement Pontiac Aztek How to Replace and Install Amplifiers 1.1) Driver's side, below dash. 2.1) Pry edge of panel from upper dash releasing clip. All clips release with pressure. 3.1) Work across edge of panel releasing clips and front edge of panel. 4.1) Along front edge of fire wall, back edge of bottom panel remove securing nut. 5.1) Grasp front edge of bottom panel. 6.1) Pull panel from dash, remove and set to side. 7.1) Under dash, above Parking Brake pedal, locate two connectors at bottom edge of silver box, this is the amplifier.   8.1) On amplifier mounting plate, left side of amplifier, is a release trigger. 9.1) Pushed trigger down into amplifier mounting plate. 10.1) While pushing mounting trigger down, slide amplifier toward rear of vehicle to release amplifier from mounting plate. 11.1) Release amplifier down from side of vehicle. 12.1) Pull amplifier toward floor of vehicle. 13.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to release and disconnect. 14.1) Squeeze trigger into connector to lifting trigger to release and disconnect. 15.1) Remove amplifier.
